Description

Commercially known as Tween 80, it is a non-ionic surfactant whose stability and relative absence of toxicity allow it to be used as a detergent and emulsifier in numerous domestic, scientific, food, industrial, and pharmacological applications.

It is registered in the Codex Alimentarius as E-433.
