Crystallized menthol is a compound found in the oils of the mint plant (Mentha Arvensis). It is a crystalline solid that melts at 40ºC and is used in cosmetics for its refreshing properties and soothing effects on mucous membranes. It offers multiple health benefits. Generally, crystallized menthol is applied to products after first dissolving the crystals in a little alcohol. Ideally, it should have a dosage between 2 and 5%.
