Evening primrose oil is obtained by cold pressing the seeds of evening primrose or donkey herb (Oenothera biennis and Oenothera lamarckiana).

It is an oil very rich in polyunsaturated essential fatty acids, especially linoleic and gamma-linolenic

It is used in preparations for eczema, psoriasis and acne. It is also used in cosmetic preparations for its moisturising, anti-wrinkle and anti-ageing action.
