Description

Red phosphorus is one of the allotropic forms of elemental phosphorus. It is an amorphous, reddish substance, sparingly soluble in water and common organic solvents. Unlike white phosphorus, it is not soluble in carbon disulfide and is not toxic. It is an explosive precursor product and its sale may be restricted to PROFESSIONAL USE.
