It is used in topical preparations, replacing vegetable oils in emollient ointments and creams, and is also added to tanning oils to provide emollience, resulting in low-greasiness products indicated for diaper rash, pressure ulcers, nipple cracks, fissures, sunburn, and skin irritation.
