Description

Gum Tragacanth is insoluble in Alcohol and other organic solvents. It can tolerate low concentrations of Alcohol or glycols when in aqueous solutions. It is recommended that when it is to be used, it should be pre-moistened with Propylene Glycol, Alcohol or Glycerin. Generally, lumps dissolve once maximum hydration has been reached. If other ingredients such as sugar are part of the formulation, it is advisable to mix the gum with these elements which serve to improve dispersion and ensure better wetting.
