Description
The oil is used in cosmetics to regenerate and nourish the skin, eliminating shallow wrinkles, and reduces scars or marks of any origin; it redistributes pigmentation, which enables the elimination of spots; it performs preventive and corrective actions against photoaging and skin problems due to overexposure to solar radiation, through the self-generation of melanin; in addition to its effects on the outer layers of the skin, it also revitalizes cells in the inner layers, invigorating the fibroblast (cells that produce collagen and elastin, responsible for skin firmness and elasticity). Therefore, it has been considered one of nature’s most powerful anti-aging products, as well as for preventing skin conditions related to melanin imbalances. Recently, the use of pure rosehip seed oil has become widespread as an ingredient in most natural and synthetic cosmetic products. For more severe cases of scars, stretch marks, expression lines and sun spots, continued use of pure rosehip seed oil on the area to be treated every few hours is recommended until they are reversed. It should not be used preventively for these cases. As it is a carrier oil, its use is strictly recommended on the dermis, never on mucous membranes (genitals, oral cavity, etc.), eyes or internal use in the body. Due to its lipid content and astringent nature, it should not be used on oily or oily-prone skin.
