Transparent, colorless, viscous liquid. Miscible with water. Solvent for oils, waxes, resins, plasticizer. It is a low molecular weight alcohol, widely used as a skin conditioning agent, as a solvent for cosmetic extracts, and as a humectant. For example, small doses of a glycolic extract (made with propylene glycol) can be used. A maximum of 5%.
