Description

Corn starch is derived from cereals, grains, and flours. It is known as fine corn flour or cornstarch. A carbohydrate-rich food, it appears as small granules that are relatively dense and insoluble, only hydrating properly in very cold water.

It can be dispersed in water, resulting in low-viscosity suspensions that can be easily mixed and pumped, acting as a thickening agent in sauces, edible gum production, and cosmetics.
